Gordon and Debbie Hamm keep the hot food coming. |

Mark and Ben took the messiest job--scraping plates. It is
amazing how they can find fun in any task! |

Mrs. Rivers and Jessica prepare the dessert pies. |

Bob and Cliff made sure there were clean plates and utensils for
every sitting. The kitchen ran like a railroad all evening. Cliff knew
he would have his hands in the dishpan the whole time, so he put his
nametag on the back of his shirt. That way, guests would know who he
was. |

Meanwhile, out in the church basement, yet another group is being
served. As you can see, the women keep busy making sure that the
guests' needs are met, while... |
|
|
...the men stand around keeping out of trouble! |

Rhonda led the choir in an Isaac Watts shapenote hymn before each
sitting. The choir members doubled as servers. This is
a first for Chicken Pie Supper, and we expect to do it again next year,
as the music was well received.
Immensity
Within thy circling pow'r I stand; On ev'ry side I
find thy hand;
Awake, asleep, at home, abroad, I am surrounded still with God.
O may these thoughts possess my breast, where e'er
I rove, where e'er I rest;
Nor let my weaker passions dare consent to sin, for God is there. |

Eric kept the coffee cups full. |
 |
Sharon and Martha greeted visitors, in addition to
serving. Sharon was one of the most important organizers of
Chicken Pie Supper this year. |

At the end of the evening, the helpers get to eat. |
